The youth theme has not yet been launched at National Level but Kilkenny Rapid AIT have long since

recognised the need for resources and emphasis in policy decisions to be placed on youth and youth

service provision.

 

Foroige, as a new member of the AIT have been announced as the operators of Kilkenny’s new Youth

Facility “the Drum” and we look forward to working with them into the future.

 

RAPID also sits on Kilkenny’s Youth Co-ordinating Committee, which is a sub-group of SIM and will always

highlight the needs of young people in RAPID Areas at this level.

 

The RAPID Youth Strategy for Kilkenny will be formulated when National Guidelines are available. This

strategy will aim to work closely and effectively with all agencies at local level to provide the best service

possible to young people in Kilkenny City.
